When I met with Maysie and Josh, the brief to was to capture how relaxed they wanted their vintage garden wedding to be! They are both a very chilled and lovely couple so it was really exciting to be able to capture the wedding as naturally as it unfolded. The day started at the beautiful St Marks Church in Cheltenham where the knot would be tied and the happy ever after story starts. Massive shout out to the churches wonderful vicar, he let me have free reign to get the shots we wanted and was super accommodating which really was appreciated as this isn’t always the case! It was so lovely to capture the moment Maysie and Josh first saw each other as she walked down the aisle! Although I must admit my favourite shot of the day has to be the best men stood up front whilst the register was being signed to take a selfie – that was hilarious and a moment I captured forever, still makes me laugh every time I see it! Once the formalities were done we headed over to the brides family home for the garden wedding part of the day – I’m not joking when I say it was such a wonderful place. Beautiful views of Leckhampton Hill and the garden was the most quintessential cottage garden you’ve ever clapped eyes on! It was such a joy taking photos, a good vintage garden wedding makes everyone super happy and even the bouncy castle got a good work out from the grown ups!
The speeches are always something I look forward to, its hard trying not to listen and laugh when your taking photos but the emotions from the parents of the bride and groom to an emotional bride and groom are always a special part of the day! Can’t wait for my next vintage garden wedding, if your having one, give me a shout and if you like vintage, be sure to check out Louise & Sam’s Field and Forest Wedding!
