Coombe Lodge wedding - Sarah & Aaron
A wedding at Coombe Lodge at Blagdon to remember! I’d been looking forward to Sarah & Aarons wedding for a long time. Even more so after our epic engagement shoot around Bristols very own MShed. I couldn’t have asked for a happier and nicer couple to shoot. They made it so easy and that was just the engagement shoot! So when it came to their Coombe Lodge Wedding – you can imagine my excitement!
I arrived to a very sunny Coombe Lodge wedding and man does it look stunning against a bright blue sky. That long drive up to the venue was where the goosebumps started. I knew as soon as I arrived at the door I knew it was going to be a pretty magic Coombe Lodge wedding! The flowers looked amazing from The Rose Shed I literally can’t tell you how epic the whole place looked. Coombe Lodge you absolutely rock! I met up with Matt Bee – The Bristol Wedding singer and Marcin from Memos Studios where we all got set and ready to rock.
Sarah & Aaron were both getting ready at the venue. It meant I could cover both Bride and Groom prep which was ace. Sarah and the girls were in full swing having their make up done by the rather talented Makeup Artist Aldona. So whilst this was happening I took full advantage of getting some detail shots of Sarah’s stunning Justin Alexander dress. The day unfolded as it should and after a beautiful ceremony with lots of laughs, smiles and not a dry eye in sight the speeches arrived which were hilarious. It’s really hard taking photos and getting peoples laughs on camera when your chuckling away to yourself as well but think I nailed it!
After the speeches the sun had settled enough that it was that time to get some epic shots of the bride and groom. Always a chilled affair I decided this was going to be a little different, something slightly more rock’n’roll. Cue, smoke grenades! I found out Sarah’s favourite colour was purple and followed suit and grabbed the purple and orange smoke bombs!
After the couples shots we headed inside to cut the cake and get the first dance into full swing and once the sun went out and the moonlight started to shine, the party kicked off – and I mean it really kicked off which was so much fun!
